Baby waking every hour?! I can't take it anymore...?
Well, if you are really that desperate, try co-sleeping. Bring her to your bed to sleep with you. When she does wake up in the night, pat her back or stomach and talk soothingly to her for a minute to (hopefully) get her back to sleep. Once she realizes you are always right there she should start sleeping more on her own. The only problem with co-sleeping is it's a very hard habit to break - both for the child (who won't want to sleep on their own later) and for the parents (because you are finally getting some sleep and breaking the habit will involve more exhaustion). Sure, it's not a perfect answer, but it's all that worked for me because I too refused to let them cry it out.
