A single hive on my chest?

Yesterday, the top of my left was extremely itchy, and I noticed a single, small, misshapen hive. I iced it and it went away. Today, the area started itching again and I noticed the single hive reappeared in the exact same spot. I left it alone and it disappeared. I haven't put on any new creams or clothing. Why is this happening?
