Military: Recruiting people into the military, I know some, but how should I do?

Well, I'm going to be in the Navy DEP pretty soon, and I know 2 friends that said they want to join the Navy. What should I tell my recruiter, like information wise.. Do I just give them the name and phonenumber and then they call them and if they join, I get the rank up? How is the process? and waht is the process for it?
