Any suggestions on fun patterns for gifts?

Ok...I am searching for fun gift ideas for my friends and family for christmas. I like to knit, crochet, knifty knitter, and doodle loom / knit wit. Does anyone have any suggestions on fun patterns for different gifts? I like to make things that are different. Thanks!
