Why is the Bible and hence Christianity (more specifically trinity) so contradictory?

When the Christians were being kicked out of the synogogues in the late 1st century, the reasons given by Jewish Law were they had to be removed from the worship of the one god because they were claiming there was "more than one power in heaven" - the concept of the Trinity seems to be a development that was meant as a defense against their Jewish accusers
