How can I get along better with my wife?

After almost eleven years of marriage and almost eleven years of fighting, I just want to quit. But I can't. The kids deserve my best effort, and there's no extra money to hire lawyers or support two residences. So in desperation, I am turning to you, total strangers. How does one get along with a woman who refuses to be gotten along with? Someone always looking for an excuse to get offended or fight? Some quick to anger but slow to heal? Someone who never forgives? Obviously, it's not always bad or we wouldn't have made it this far. But when it's bad, it's really bad. Short of putting a gag in my mouth, tying my hands behind my back and sitting quietly in a corner for all eternity, I just don't see a solution. No matter how much I give and sacrifice, she always wants more. Tell me how to do it. Because I am out of solutions.
